Even a man, My friend, in whom I trusted, who ate of My bread, has lifted up his heel against Me. Psalm 41.9

Betrayed by a friend

And as He [Jesus] was yet speaking, behold a crowd! And he who was called Judas, one of the Twelve, went before them. And he drew near Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, "Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?"

So they weighed My price -- thirty pieces of silver.
Zech 11.12

Sold for 30 pieces of silver

And he [Judas Iscariot] said to them, What will you give me, and I will betray Him to you? And they appointed to him thirty pieces of silver. Mt 26.15

And he
[Judas Iscariot] threw the pieces of silver down in the temple and departed. And he went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. Mt 27.5-6
Cruel witnesses rose up. They asked of Me that which I never knew.
Psalm 35.11

Accused by false witnesses

Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, "We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.'" But not even then did their testimony agree. Mk 14.57-59
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. Isa 53.7

Silent to accusations

Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, "Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!" But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled. Mk 15.4-5
I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard. I did not hide My face from shame and spitting. Isa 50.6

Spat upon and smitten

Then they spat in His face and beat Him; and others struck Him with the palms of their hands, saying, "Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is the one who struck You?"
Mt 26.67-68
Let them not rejoice over me who are wrongfully my enemies; Nor let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause. Psalm 35.19

Hated without reason

[Jesus said...] If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, "They hated Me without a cause." John 15.24-25
He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned, each one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isa 53.5-6

Died because of our sins. Did so in order to save us.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Rom 5.8-9
Therefore I will divide to Him with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death; and He was counted among the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors. Isa 53.12

Crucified with transgressors

With Him [Jesus] they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left. So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And He was numbered with the transgressors." Mk 15.27-28
I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. Zech 12.10

For dogs have surrounded Me. The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet.
Psalm 22.16

Hands and body pierced

Jesus said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing."

And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"
John 20.27-28

One of the soldiers pierced His side with a lance, and instantly there came out blood and water.
John 19.34
All those who see Me ridicule Me. They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, "He trusted in the LORD, let Him rescue Him. Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!" Psalm 22.7-8

Scorned and mocked

And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God."

The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself."
Luke 23.35-37
They also gave Me gall for My food, and for My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink. Psalm 69.21

And He put His grave with the wicked, and with a rich one in His death; although He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth.
Isa 53.9

Buried with the rich

When the evening had come, a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, came, who also himself was Jesus' disciple. He went to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in clean linen, and laid it in his new tomb, which he had cut out of the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb and departed.

Would rise from the dead

And he [an angel] said to them, "Do not be frightened. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen, He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him. But go tell His disciples and Peter that He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see Him, as He said to you." Mk 16.6-7
